HomeIndustrialSPE-i metal.IDSpecification

Spectroscopy metal.ID (metals and inorganic)

LIBS Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (metal.ID) - automated identification of particles larger than 20 µm with a measurement time of 1 sec/particle, manual ID of same materials down to 3 µm.

Fully integrated - aquire hundrets or thousands of spectra of individual particles automatically. Selection of the particles according to their shape (morphological) or size parameters.

Automated identification database - integrated element and material database with 150 entries, easily expandable to hold customer-specific data.

Spectral resolution - 1 nm, range: 350-800 nm.

Laser - Pulse-LASER, 100 µJ, 3 ns.

Laser safety - Class 1.

Objective - 39x, 0.5 NA, 2.0 mm WD.

Particle ID - 300-3000 particle per hour.

Performance particle count, size and shape

Measurement range - 2 µm-40 mm, Min resolution: 5x (10 µm) / 10x (5 µm) / 20x (2 µm) objective - other combinations possible.

Particle stitching - up to 40 mm in length possible, dependent on the objective magnification.

Image analysis performance - fully automated and user interaction biased for maximum reproducability: particle recognition, stitching auto thresholding for binarization (less than 0.7 sec measuring time for a field of view).

Particle count size and shape data - elongation, fibrosity, length, number, roundness, rectangularity, and width of each individual particle. Results from the image analysis provides the coordinates for the spectroscopic laser focus points.

Sizing accuracy - dependent on magnification and particle size. E.g. max 5% deviation for a 10 µm particle measured with the 10x objective, min resolution is 5 pixels / particle.

Counting accuracy - max deviation is 15%.

Software

Industry compliance - with SEA AS4059, NAS 1638, ISO 4406, ISO 4407, ISO 16232.

Use leveles for security - administrator, super user ensuring a secure and reliable result for any quality related measurement.

Documentation

Documentation imaging - audit trail, image analysis data, particle morphology data, processed images, and raw images.

Documentation spectroscopy - target images, S/N, rank with database match, original spectra, processed spectra, hitlist.

Report designer - customizable reports with individual layout and print options for standard report generation. Templates e.g. for pass/fail or root cause documentation to be configured to suit each application.
