Depending on the magnification of the scanning objective, several individual images may be required to cover the entire effective filtration area.
A composite is created by merging several separate images. The standard measurement area is 4mm in diameter, with a maximum possible diameter of 47mm.
Thanks to the automated sample stage it is possible to produce an accurate composite of the individual images.

Image Stitching:

In some cases, fibers and larger particles extend over several measuring fields. All such particles are selected for edge particle analysis, which is performed at the end of the measurement process. The parts of the particles extending over several measuring fields are merged into one single particle. The particle counting result is corrected accordingly and the final result is documented in a particle size table.
